Chakras and Psychic Centers: Are They The Same?

Chakras and Psychic Centers: Are They The Same?

A student, rises to address the Forum as follows: "When I first joined the Order I made the mistake of using the term chakra, not knowing that the Rosicrucians use the term psychic center instead. The member to whom I was speaking tried to convince me that what Rosicrucians call psychic centers are not the same as chakras. However, I am not convinced. Is there really a difference?"

In approaching an answer to our student's question, it is important to realize that from the beginning of time, all creation has been supported by two great principles. These two principles are known under many names but for purposes of our present discussion are referred to allegorically as the Tree of Knowledge and the Tree of Life. In the human body, these two principles are associadated with the brain and nervous system on the one hand, and with the heart and circulatory system on the other.

According to Rosicrucian philosophy, there are certain points in the human body at which the enormously high frequencies of the psychic self are stepped down in order that the energies of the cosmic realm may become useful to man on the physical plane. Insofar as the human body is concerned, these points of contact between the psychic and physical worlds are referred to collectively as psychic centers and are associated with the activities of certain glands.

From a physiological point of view, glands are of two kinds, namely exocrine and endocrine. All glands produce secretions which have important influences in the workings of the body. Exocrine glands release their secretions directly onto the surfaces where they are to exert their influence. Endocrine glands, on the other hand, release their secretions, known as hormones, into the bloodstream which then takes them to all tissues of the body. There is no function of the body, no activity within the cells of the body, including the replication of DNA itself, that does not come under the direct or indirect influence of hormones. Psychic centers are associated with endocrine glands and are, therefore, the governors of all activities in the body.

On the other hand, chakras are defined as centers of force at which energy flows between the psychic and physical bodies of man. On the strength of this limited definition it would appear that there is little or no functional distinction between psychic centers on the one hand, and chakras on the other. However, according to the experts, chakras are seen as "saucer-like depressions or vortices" in the surface of the psychic body. Each chakra gives the appearance of being composed of petals with a stem extending inward from the surface of the body and finally making contact with certain nerve ganglia of the sympathetic arm of the autonomic nervous system. The overall appearance is, therefore, that of a number of flowers having their stems firmly rooted in the sympathetic nervous system.

From an esoteric point of view, the nervous system is a vehicle by means of which man may eventually gain mastery over the forces of Nature. By the phrase "gain mastery over" we do not mean to imply dominance in the sense that man will learn to use the forces of Nature in no matter which way he chooses. Rather, this phrase is intended to mean that man will learn to bring his personal, individual will into harmonious relationship with the Cosmic so that "the forces of Nature will be happy to do his bidding," as is promised to each Rosicrucian Neophyte.

The physical body, as a manifestation of the law and order of the Cosmic, is therefore the great crucible in which this Great Work is to be wrought. And the nervous system is the vehicle through which we will each eventually learn how to bring our individual consciousness into harmony with the Cosmic Consciousness manifesting in every cell of every tissue of the body.

For purposes of our discussion, the nervous system of the human body may be divided into three functional segments, namely cerebrospinal, which is associated with the objective/subjective phase of consciousness; the sympathetic nervous system which is associated with the subconscious phase; and the parasympathetic nervous system which is associated with the cosmic phase of consciousness. According to this scheme, then, chakras are associated with and reflect the workings of the subconscious phase of mind which, according to Rosicrucian philosophy, is the essential mind of the psychic body. This subconscious phase of mind is amenable to suggestion and it is by faulty reasoning that we, through autosuggestion, unconsciously interfere with the harmonious functioning of the subconscious phase of mind.

The challenge to each student on the Path is to so organize his or her relationship with the activities of the subconscious phase of mind that it becomes a true vehicle for the Cosmic Mind which is immanent within it. The discipline leading to such a harmonization is called mysticism. Naturally there are different paths. In the Hindu system of chakras, the path to illumination involves a technique commonly referred to as "raising the kundalini."

Kundalini is considered to be a force or energy which resides in the chakra at the base of the spine and represents the basic energy of the body. It is referred to as a fire which is in striking contrast to the energy or vitality entering the body from the sun. Kundalini is, therefore, an energy of negative polarity as compared with the positive polarity of Nous which enters the body with each breath. From a Rosicrucian point of view, then, kundalini is predominantly spirit energy which we know is not absolutely negative but only relatively so. Strictly speaking then, kundalini has little to do with so-called sex energy with which it is associated in the minds of some people.

Kundalini is conceived as being dual, consisting of a positive, masculine polarity, and a negative, feminine polarity. When the kundalini is raised, the negative polarity is thought to travel up the left-hand chain of the sympathetic nervous system. This left-hand chain is referred to as the Ida. Analogously, the positive polarity of kundalini is considered to travel up the right-hand chain of the sympathetic nervous system, while a mixture of the two polarities travels up the canal or chamber in the spinal cord. The right-hand chain of the sympathetic nervous system is referred to as the Pingala while the canal in the spinal cord is referred to as the Sushumna.

In their raising, the three streams of kundalini are considered to travel upward from the chakra at the base of the spine to make contact with, and to vivify in turn, each of the other chakras along the path, and eventually resides within the crown chakra at the top of the head. In this process the entire nervous system, including the brain, becomes highly sensitized, with the result that the individual becomes receptive to a greater range of vibratory frequencies than before.

However, because of the dangers inherent in this "rite of passage" from one level of psychic sensitivity to another, the neophyte requires the guidance of a guru who is experienced in such matters. The Hindu approach to enlightenment, therefore, concentrates upon improving the sensitivity of the nervous system, thereby expanding the activities of the Tree of Knowledge. What, then, of the Rosicrucian approach?

The Rosicrucian approach to enlightenment is reflected in the ancient injunction: "Science without conscience brings nothing but ruin to the soul personality." Science here refers to acquired knowledge, while conscience refers to that inner knowing, that cosmic knowledge that resides within each of us and is reflected in the activities of the Tree of Life. For this reason the Rosicrucian way is referred to as "The way of the Heart" and begins with the God of our Heart.

From the Rosicrucian point of view, enlightenment is irrevocably linked to one's conception or experience of the Infinite. Thus, rather than focusing exclusively on direct sensitization of the nervous system, we bring our efforts to bear on how best to harmonize our individual consciousness with the Cosmic Consciousness of which we are a part. It is this constant striving to evolve the character and soul personality that leads inevitably to the necessary and concomitant sensitization of the nervous system and the accompanying increase in psychic sensitivity. In this way the Tree of Knowledge is harmonized with the Tree of Life. This process of harmonization is directed by the God of our Heart, the ultimate guru, rather than by someone external to ourselves.

Thus, a second point of distinction between the Rosicrucian system, based on psychic centers, and that of the Hindu, based on chakras is as follows: While the Hindu approach requires the guidance of a personal teacher or guru, the Rosicrucian depends only upon the God of his or her Heart. In this manner the neophyte takes conscious control of his or her evolution and develops a partnership with the Master Within which is the only true guide. It is through the Master Within that the functions of the psychic centers are harmonized, with the concomitant increase in the sensitivity of the nervous system.

Is it to be taken then that in the Rosicrucian approach there is no altered flow of energy among the various branches of the nervous system? In order to approach an answer to this question, let us take a brief look at the polarities existing in the autonomic nervous system.

First of all, it should be realized that the various segments of the nervous system manifest an inherent duality. Thus, there is the right-hand chain of the sympathetic system which is associated with energies of a positive polarity, and the left-hand chain which is associated with energies of a negative polarity. The parasympathetic nervous system is likewise dual, consisting of nerve fibers which arise within the upper portion of the brain stem, and nerve fibers which arise within the lowermost portion of the spinal cord. Hence, the parasympathetic system manifests a vertical, top-to-bottom division while the sympathetic system manifests a lateral, right-to-left division. The two sympathetic chains are located between the top and bottom sections of the parasympathetic system, and appear to be associated with the body's right-side-to-left-side electrical polarity. In an analogous manner, the two poles of the parasympathetic nervous system may be associated with the body's well-known head to foot electrical polarity.

Many members who follow only the Rosicrucian approach report experiencing an energy flow starting at the base of the spine and rising up the spinal column. In some cases the energy flow is experienced during the meditative state and travels up the spine to lodge at a point in the forehead between the eyes. In no case has there been any report of fear or discomfort associated with this energy flow. This energy flow may be a reflection of a greater harmony or increased resonance between the two poles of the parasympathetic nervous system. On the other hand, there have also been reports from students who have attempted to mix the Rosicrucian and Hindu approaches. Such students report a sudden, violent flow of energy starting at the base of the spine and rushing toward the brain. These students invariably report fear, sometimes terror, and generally seek the aid of the Council of Solace.

Thus, a third point of distinction is that, insofar as enlightenment is concerned, in the Rosicrucian approach not only is the nervous system of the student sensitized, but the consciousness of the student is gradually and naturally expanded so that evolution of the soul personality occurs in an orderly, harmonious manner. This gradual, orderly approach reflects the Rosicrucian point of view which holds that there is no quick way to mystical illumination, for true knowledge is to be found in the Tree of Life which is not amenable to sudden and violent shifts in its activities.

The energies of the 2014 Horse Year

The energies of the 2014 Horse Year – celebrated on Chinese New Year this Friday – began coming in soon after January 1, initiating a new cycle that will impact you and everyone you love.

Decisions you make in any new cycle are important, for they can have a profound impact on the rest of the cycle. The decisions or choices you make now, as the Horse Year begins and unfolds, can be even more significant than those you made in 2013 – impacting you in big ways throughout 2014 and beyond.

In this article are some tips to help you make these crucial decisions with empowerment, and to begin the year on a high note.

What you will find in this cycle are many new opportunities and doors that were not open to you before. Choices involving new people, new projects, and new directions will be coming fast and furiously.

~ Noticing Open Doors

The key to accessing them is staying awake and conscious – noticing the doors as they open so you can take action. That action will always involve choice and you want that choice to come from conscious awareness. Remember: even taking no action at an open door is a choice.

To make the best choice, you must be clear about what you want. That takes mastery. You are learning to differentiate between what your conditioned ego-self wants and what is in your highest good to want.

You must be grounded and in your heart to make the optimal choices. It’s not enough to mentally say that you are in your heart – you must truly reside there and operate from there. That sounds easy, as though intent were enough. In fact, it involves great skill and lots of practice.

In 2013 you may have become impatient, frustrated, or perhaps disillusioned with your pace of progress. Even the most advanced spiritual practitioner can become impatient at times!

Indeed, over the past year, patience has been an important quality for divine changemakers like you. If you are like most people, you had a roller-coaster ride of stops and starts and waiting in between.

~ The Difference in 2014

There is a lighter, more inviting tone in 2014. This year, it will still pay off to be patient, but you may find forward movement easier to contemplate and achieve.

The contemplation part is important – you must know in a clear way specifically what you want! It’s not enough to say you want abundance or a new relationship. Also, it’s useless to approach intentions by noting what you don’t want. Be specific and positive.

Compared with previous years, the energies of 2014 will involve more movement. That means more ups and downs, more twists and turns, and more peaks and valleys. The energy of the Horse Year is all about movement, journeys into new territory, and an intense desire to be free of past limitations.

~ A Relentless Undercurrent

In fact, you may often experience this desire as a relentless undercurrent – feeling that you and the world simply cannot change fast enough. To sure, it will be a time when you will feel passionate about changing the status quo – whether it’s involving your work, relationships, your body, or how you live.

Passion is a good thing, of course. The key will be discovering how to channel that passion in positive, constructive ways. After all, a Horse Year comes with a lot of fire and this energy must be managed or it can become destructive – either to you or to others in your life.

~ Riding the Waves

As you look around, you will notice that most people are not good surfers of energy – they do not feel comfortable riding the waves. When a spike of energy occurs, they are thrown off course.

What you want and need now is a way to ride the waves with confidence and courage – even though you don’t always know where they will take you next.

Of all the years to date, 2014 is the one when you have the most opportunities to make significant changes that alter the course of your life.

What will make these shifts so important is that they are foundational, addressing the root of your being and how you express it in the physical world. This is the kind of change you have longed for – it is what spirit is nudging you to dive into with both feet. No halfway diving – you are a divine changemaker!

VIBRATIONAL THOUGHTS

Your vibration is not just the thoughts in your head

Many of you are encountering some difficulty applying Law of Attraction. Perhaps you are getting success in some areas and limited success in others. Some of this confusion comes with the use of the word “thought.” And so it is important to know the thoughts your (LOA) teachers are referring to are not just the thoughts in your head. That verbal, analytical, heady kind of stuff is only a small part of what you are thinking. There is a swirling vortex—an amalgam—of thought-modulation of Source energy that emerges into the physical world as you. The part of it that makes its way into your gray matter upstairs is more like an imprint of what’s really going on with you. Your brain is more like a receiver of thought rather than a generator of thought in this regard, and it receives only a limited slice of what you are thinking in total.

And when you try to alter the course of your total-thought-being with just the stuff that’s going on in your head, then you are trying to steer with the tail. It’s like trying to move a chair across the room by grasping its shadow, or trying to board a boat by stepping on its wake. The thoughts that you are consciously aware of in your head are more like the wake of a boat that has already passed.

“But how do I access my thoughts then if not by thinking them?” You access the deeper levels of your thought by engaging your whole body in the process. Your body is a billion points of consciousness that have agreed to be you. You cannot just think the thoughts in your head; you must think them with your whole body.

So when you visualize, imagine, script—whatever is your process for conscious creating—do it vividly enough that your body is engaged. You have to feel those thoughts. Imagine so thoroughly that your body loves to be there too. Just saying a few words in your head won’t cut it. You’ve got to feel them at the depth of your soul, with the very core of your being, deep in your gut, the hara center of your body. Then the signal you are sending out to the Universe is unmistakable. “Ahhhh! That’s what you really want,” the Universe says. And the Universe will yield to your vibrational request every time.

Namaste,

MY ABUNDANCE

Thank you angels for the signs , ideas, and guidance for me to fulfill my life purpose at the same time I prosper.

I give service to the world promoting heaven on earth (wisdom, love, freedom, peace...) and I receive a fair share of abundance to maintain my basic needs.

I am a channel of the divine! I am abundant! I live a life of service and joy!

WAKE UP

Are You Ready to Wake Up?

Wake up!

Those two words encompass an entire philosophy of life. According to the ancient seers, we are asleep, dreaming that our day-to-day world is all that is. And that who we are – who we really are – is much more than our familial and societal roles, much more than our occupation, bank account, politics, gender, marital status, or sexual orientation. More than our history as a victim or perpetrator.

There’s a wonderful little story about Buddha:

One of his students asked him, “Are you the messiah?”

“No,” answered Buddha.
“Then are you a healer?”
“No,” Buddha replied.
“Then are you a teacher?” the student persisted.
“No, I am not a teacher.”
“Then what are you?” asked the student, exasperated.
“I am awake,” Buddha replied.

What does it mean to be awake? It means that you have done the inner work to clear out the old beliefs you unconsciously absorbed while growing up – the ideas you may unknowingly hold about yourself and the world around you.

It means that you know how to process and release the emotions that flow through you rather than trying to ignore or bury them. When you don’t acknowledge your jealousy, anger, shame, guilt, and all the other emotions we all experience, they fester within and turn toxic; the distorted energy can affect your ability to be healthy, to be fully alive.

You are awake when you are available to experience all that life holds.

It means you understand presence – the state of being where you live in the present moment, the here and now, rather than being bogged down in the past or wary of what the future may hold. Presence is the ability to listen with full attention and compassion. The Dalai Lama, who radiates presence, has said that his religion is kindness. How simple, and how totally present!

Waking up also means that you awaken the innate gifts you have… and yes, you have the ability to go beyond the veil of illusion that is the seemingly rock-solid wall of physical reality. You can nurture and practice seeing more than the eye can behold, hearing sounds that the ear cannot hear, sensing beyond what can be touched. Haven’t you ever had a strong “gut feeling” that kept you out of danger or helped you to avoid a destructive relationship? Or knew who was calling before you answered the phone, or thought of that person before the phone even rang? Where did that come from?

Most of all, wake up from the dream of separation. You can awaken to Oneness. We are not separate from each other, or from any other part of the universe. Humanity desparately needs to wake up from the collective nightmare of “the one with the most toys wins.” Greed, on a personal and corporate level, and the arrogance of mankind in believing we are somehow the top of the evolutionary ladder, has brought the world nuclear catastrophe, endless war, environmental distress, and a host of societal ills like homelessness and starving children.

In the words of a little three-year-old friend, who has clearly heard her pre-school lessons: sharing is caring.

It’s time to wake up to who you are. You will be happier, healthier, more content with your life, more aware of your purpose here on earth, and a blessing to all around you.

GROUNDING

The Gabriel Messages #26

Dear One,

Grounding excess energy means being aware that any time you are feeling anxious, angry, fearful or over-excited, you are experiencing excess energy in your body which can be consciously redirected. This energy is very potent and can be used in a constructive way.

A metaphor might be useful. In electrical terms, it is necessary to have something called the "ground." For instance, in a house there is a grounding wire which connects to the earth so electricity flows in the proper circuits. It is similar with your body. You are receiving energy from the Divine Source at all times. There are perfect channels in your body for the energy to flow through. If you are not grounded, that is, if you are so caught up in your mental activity that you are not consciously aware of your connection to the earth, this energy can flow into channels that may feel uncomfortable. It can then circulate through your nervous system, over-stimulating your mind and causing anxiety and other mental imbalances. When you notice yourself feeling upset and anxious, it is very helpful to remember that you have feet as well as a head.

Practice

Your feet are in touch with the earth, a place of bountiful supply and nourishing energy. When you are aware of the earth's presence, you feel supported and nurtured. You can visualize energy leaving your feet or from the base of your spine like moving beams of light into the earth. This will allow the excess electrical energy in your mind to dissipate.

It is also important to calm your emotional body. Just as the mental body is electric, the emotional body is magnetic. This means that your emotions have the power to attract to you what you are experiencing through the Law of Attraction. Many times what you attract is the opposite of what you think you want to have in your life. It is important to ground these excess emotions as well. On the electrical beam that grounds into the earth, you can wind a coil for the magnetic energy of your emotions. With your intention, you can send these excess emotions into the earth.

If you have trees, mountains or bodies of water near you, it can be useful to see these as places to ground excess energy. You can visualize light beams radiating from your feet, powerful light cords from the base of your spine, or pillars of light from heaven to earth; whatever image suits you. This is a very simple but powerful tool for you to use.

As you become more aware of this grounding process, you will begin to be more present in the moment. Being present means bringing an open heart to wherever you are and whatever situation is challenging you at the time. When your heart is open you are able to make decisions from a place of love and not fear. As more people do this, the consciousness of the whole planet is raised. As more minds are consciously connected to the One Mind, all are blessed and can live more freely in love and peace.

You can be a part of this peace-filled evolution with the choices you make every day. Choose to live in love, not fear. Notice when you are running anxiety or anger through your body and are feeling "over-amped." Take the time to send this excess energy into the earth with a prayer asking to experience only love. Know that all on earth are blessed when one person chooses to open his or her heart in love to another. Know the earth is blessed when you give energy to her, so in turn, all will be blessed as this great planet gives back in sustenance and life.

In these simple ways you can bring peace to the world when you...

Ground any excess energy such as fear, anxiety or anger into the earth and bring an open heart into the present situation.

MAGNETIC TO LOVE

Becoming Magnetic to Love ི❥

Your soul is serene because it knows how to magnetize love. Your soul does not struggle or work hard for love. It experiences an abundance of love all the time. You can experience the magnetic quality of soul love and draw love and all good things to yourself. Sense the magnetic quality of this field of love that emanates from your heart center, located in an area around your physical heart. Imagine magnetic rings of love spiraling out from your heart center, drawing love to you in all its forms, aspects, and expressions. As you radiate soul love, you are magnetic to the beauty and love within people and to all good things that the universe has to offer.

Many of the things people do for other people are for the purpose of receiving love in exchange. You may have been taught that love was something you had to earn through your good behavior and through fulfilling other people's needs. You may have trouble setting boundaries with others, thinking that to do so you might hurt their feelings or push away their love. If you think love comes to you only when you earn or deserve it, it is time to experience the magnetic quality of soul love.

Reflect on your relationship to someone important. Are you working hard to earn this person's love, doing things you do not truly want to do? Are you being pulled between doing what you think the other person wants you to do, so that this person will love you, and fulfilling your own goals, aspirations, and soul's directions? What do you think this person might do, or how might this person feel, if you stopped doing the things you are doing to earn love?

Magnetize love and
all good things to yourself ི❥

Sense your heart center, filled with your soul's magnetic love. It is not what you say or do–it is the love that is the essence of your being that draws people to you and keeps them with you. Fill your heart center with your soul's love. Radiate the magnetic quality of love to the person you have chosen. Feel how magnetic your love is to receiving love in return.

Translate your soul connection into a statement that defines for you the new way you are going to think about this relationship. You might say something such as, "I offer you soul love. It is the most important gift I can give you. I now magnetize the highest and best that our relationship has to offer." If it applies, you can also add, "I will no longer work or struggle to win your love. I will not try to win your love by anticipating your needs and filling them. I will honor your ability to fulfill your own needs." Take a moment to think about all the love you have received from this person. Appreciate how magnetic you already are to love. Recognize all the ways that you easily and naturally draw love to yourself.

Feel the difference between being magnetic to love, and working hard for love. When you magnetize love you stay in the center of your being and in touch with your soul. Love flows out from you and draws love to you. You do not send your awareness out to others to anticipate their needs and moods so you can then behave in certain ways to gain their love.

When you are magnetic to love you stop doing things you do not want to do so others will love you. Instead, you do things that are loving to yourself. When you are magnetic to love you are not dependent upon one person as your source of love; you can receive love from anywhere and everywhere. You are serene because you know you can experience an abundance of love by radiating soul love that magnetizes love in all of its forms and expressions to you.

OH WHAT A DAY!!!

What Kind of Day Will You Choose to Have?

How do you start your day? What is your first thought upon waking? Where is your awareness? What choices do you make about your day before you get out of bed?

Most days start with thoughts of what you don’t want to do that day, like get up at all. However, if you consider what happens in those few fleeting seconds, you may want to rework your process of entering your day.

What happens you may ask. Your thoughts mingle with your emotions to create chemicals that are released into your biology. These chemicals cause subtle changes to happen deep within your body that will drive and color your entire day. If you have thoughts following along the lines of the ones about not wanting to get up, you will be sure to have an unsatisfying and unpleasant day.

You may be wondering how to change this process and that is what I want to share with you. The key here is not to change the process. The key is to understand the process and use it to your best advantage.

The chemicals that you release do not have to be of a detrimental nature. Because what you think about creates which substances your biology uses, simply make an effort to change your thoughts, focus your awareness to create the release of chemicals that will allow your next best day ever!

How do you do that? Like this!

When you wake, provided you are not forced to the restroom first, (if you are, do that and go back to the bed) give some thought to how your physical body feels. Allow it to feel what ever it feels and then search for ways to help find better feelings. Allow that pain is not in the body part but in your brain and tell your brain to diminish that and think of more pleasant things. At this point you may think I have taken leave of my senses but I promise you that, with a bit of practice, it will work, help and eventually alleviate a lot of discomfort.

When you have done that then decide what kind of emotions you want to experience in your day. You may think something along the lines of, “today I accept feelings of love, prosperity and grace and I share these feelings with all I meet.” or “my day is filled with wonder, love and light.” or anything else that makes you feel wonderful. These thoughts are added to your earlier ones to fill your biology with the corresponding chemicals that will actually create these events in your day. The more you do this, the better your outcome will be.

The next thing to decide is what events you will look forward to. I understand that when you work in the corporate world this exercise can be a real challenge however, if you really want this to work for you, you can do it. Mentally run through your typical day and pick out the things that you can enjoy about it and concentrate on them, even if it is only that you can go home in the evening. As you attempt to find pleasurable things in your day, they will spontaneously begin to appear and your day will be better. You can also look forward to things that really have nothing to do with your job. You can look forward to abundance, bliss, pleasure, happiness, joy, opportunity for all of the aforementioned.

The potential for OPPORTUNITY for anything you love and wish to vibrate with is always a good mind-stream. The reason for that is that you will be more prone to see it for what it is than if you are not open to it. For instance there was once a man who owned a farm and one day he awoke to no livestock. His neighbors were sad for him but the man said, “This is good, now I have room to grow other things.” so he planted and the army came and bought all his produce. The neighbors said “this is bad, you have nothing.” The farmer said “Let’s wait and see.” In a few days the army came back with payment, they gave him horses. His neighbors said “this is good” and the farmer said “let’s wait and see.” One day his son fell off a horse and broke his leg and could not help on the farm. Then all the neighbors said “this is bad”. The farmer said “let’s wait and see.” the next day the army came back to take all the young men into service but the farmer’s son could not go because of his broken leg. Get the idea, opportunities are sometimes not obvious unless you are aware of the potential for them so open you life to them.

To your best outcome and highest good,

Finding Freedom

-๑- Like -๑- Comment -๑- Share -๑-

Finding Freedom in No ~ Yes People

Saying No to somebody when we are used to saying Yes can be challenging as we fear we will be rejected.

Many of us, from childhood on, are taught that saying yes is right and saying no is wrong. We learn that acceding to demands allows us to avoid conflict and criticism, please people, earn praise, and prove that we care for the important people in our lives. Yet the right to say no is indelibly intertwined with the ability to make choices. When we sense we are limited in our options, compelled to say yes even when doing so is not in our interests, we are effectively robbed of our ability to choose. Growing out of this tendency to say yes even when we desperately want to say no can be challenging because we suspect that others will reject us for our assertiveness. But the reward we receive upon facing this challenge is true freedom of choice.

When others ask you to take on work or do favors, consider their requests carefully. If you feel pressed to say yes, consider whether you are acquiescing out of a desire for approval or to stave off disapproval. Remind yourself often that the ability to say no is an important aspect of well-being, as it is an indication that you understand the true value of your energy, talents, and time. As you learn to articulate your personal power by saying no, you may feel compelled to explore the myriad consequences of the word by responding negatively to many or most of the requests put to you. The word “no” may even become your default response for some time. When you see that life moves forward without interruption, however, you will grow more comfortable saying no and will resume making decisions from a point of balance.

There is nothing inherently wrong with acceding to the requests others make of you, provided these requests do not infringe upon your health or your happiness. Keep in mind that it is only when you feel you have the legitimate right to say no that you can say yes with utmost certainty, sincerity, and enthusiasm. While saying yes almost always has a cost, you can feel good about offering your agreement when your reasons for doing so are rooted in your individual values and your appreciation for the appeal before you.

CHILD OF THE UNIVERSE

"You are a child of the universe
and you were born to make manifest the glory of the universe that is within you.
And it's not just in some of us.
It is in all of us.
As we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give others permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fears,
Our presence automatically liberates others."

What is not Love is fear

The Soul's Deepest Longing

What would help you create the most blissful, peaceful and successful life possible this year?

What does your soul long for?

If we understood the power of our soul's longing, we would see that our destiny is connected to those longings. For without those longings, we will never come close to what we really are.

The mother, the father, the son, the daughter, the lover, the teacher, expresses their longing to nurture, to love, to taste, smell and feel the reality of Love. The spiritual seeker, the temptress, the beggar, the tyrant, all expresses their longing to absorb back in the reality of Love. All longings then, reflect to us the ongoing of all creation to know with perfect certainty that we are love and that we are loved. There is no one who is reading this words that doesn't long to know Love completely.

Events can never alter the spirit or what we are. We are love and it is our deepest soul's longing to convert the fearful mind to Love. Then, this year let us make a conscious effort to heal the mind of fear. When we are confronted with the challenges that bring up our deepest fears, instead of giving in to the fear, let us choose to see that it is only a temporary reflection of the unhealed mind. When someone upsets us, let us remember that they are doing so because they too long for love, and have forgotten who they are.

The forms contain no reality. What is not Love is fear.

Once, we stop fighting our deepest soul's longing and recognise that we have the complete freedom to journey as we want; nothing can obstruct our bliss, peace or success. We can know the truth of who we are and what we are here to do.

We can then, consciously enjoy moulding and colouring our destiny.

Love and Blessings,

Unconditional love

Learning Unconditional Love ི❥

Unconditional love is learning to be the source of love, rather than waiting for others to be the source. Unconditional love means keeping your heart open all the time. To do so, you may need to let go of the expectations you have of other people, of wanting them to be anything other than what they are. It means letting go of any need for people to give you things, act in certain ways, or respond with love. Many of you wait for other people to be warm and loving before you are.

Look at the times you want to close your heart, the times at which you say, "I have had enough, this person is not being loving enough for me, I think I am going to close my heart to this person." In every relationship, no matter how long-term or solid, there will always be a challenge to keep your heart open. How else do you learn unconditional love but by coming up against all those areas in which your heart is closed? Each time you come to a place in which you want to close your heart, you now have the opportunity to establish a new pattern, and keep it open. You may choose to leave or change the nature of the relationship, but you can do so with love. You may think that the best friends are those who never challenge you, who never make you want to close your heart, and yet if you are with people who never challenge you to remain open and loving, you are not truly connecting with them in your heart. The heart always deals with issues of trusting, opening, and reaching new levels of acceptance and understanding of others.

You learn to love
by putting yourself in situations
that challenge you to be loving.

Tolerance is an attribute of unconditional love. Smiling inwardly when people do things that used to upset you, sending them a warm blessing or thought of love, frees you from being affected by their behavior. The quality of tolerance is the ability to stay calm and unruffled no matter what happens, to allow people to be themselves and make their own mistakes. It allows you to provide that warm, safe harbor for them where they can bask in the steadfast light of your acceptance.

When you are judgmental or critical, you are most affected by other people's energy. If you look at people and think, "They ought to work harder, get their act together," these thoughts pull their negative energy into you. What you see in them is what you begin to experience in them, for as you focus on something you draw it out.

The ability to accept other people for who they are is a great challenge, and as you master it, so do you give that gift to yourself. If someone is yelling at you or talking in a tone of voice that sparks anger, defensiveness, or sadness in you, begin sending him or her love telepathically. Bring yourself to a peaceful center. Know as you send love you are raising your vibration. Soon, either the other people will change or you will find that you are no longer creating situations where others are acting this way.

Forgiveness is a part of unconditional love. Forgive yourself throughout the day for all the moments when you are not high, loving, or wise. Forgive others as well. Remember that you are a loving being, that you deserve love, and that you are, in essence, love itself.

PLAYSHEET

Think about your day today. What things did you criticize yourself for?
Take at least three things you criticized yourself for doing, thinking, feeling, or saying, and forgive yourself for each one.
Focus now on what a wonderful, positive day you are having, and all the things you are doing well.

TRUE SELF

What’s the point of looking back to where we came from? There is a point: to know who we are, and the home that is always within us. To find our true self, the essence that is our inner strength and guiding force.

But we are not in this life to stay within; to keep yearning for home.

Feel, emote, live. And let it go. With each breath in and each breath out, enjoy this life on earth, enjoy the being that you are, sense the world you came from and to which you go- not at death, but between breaths. You are here and there every moment. Every bREATHday on earth is your bEARTHday. Enjoy!

PERSONAL EMPOWERMENT

Seize The Energy

"Each moment in your life offers great opportunity. Anything that exists is created by those who thought so. Decide today to take charge of your existence. A new day offers the expectation of change. Use your higher perspective to determine what those changes will be. Those dreams and thoughts will keep you inspired and give relevancy to your life. No matter what has already been created, there is opportunity to fine tune or change completely the dramatics surrounding your life.

The dawn of a new year is upon all those who exist in your culture. Seize the moment to make the surroundings and yourself better. Become what beats in your heart. Take a moment to recall what that rhythm is and align with it. Toss out irrelevant thought processes that no longer resonate. Take excitement in the prospect of creating something new. There may be grief at releasing old patterns that now disappoint. It's quite fine to grieve them, just not for very long. Make room for patterns resonating energy that represents your soul now.

Release.
Remodel.
Rejoice!
A new day is upon you. Create a new opportunity. Seize the energy so you can begin."

Continue to focus on personal empowerment, not only for yourself, but by honoring others choices. Remember that each morning you wake, there is a new creation of your experience here on Earth. You are in control of how that creation manifests. By using your awareness of what you are focusing on, you can allow yourself to let go of what was not working yesterday. Let it go. This includes wanting others to do as you do... Each one of us is a sovereign being. We are each creators of our own reality. . The more we can allow each other to make choices of creation without judging, the more empowered we actually become to fully make the choices for ourselves that reflect what it is we honestly wish to create. Social conditioning causes us to believe we should all be using the same compass to make decisions. Free yourself, free others... Empowerment, not judgment, not control, not manipulation. Center in your heart, and allow.., Focus on your own creation, understanding that if another's choices are triggering you, that to is apart of your creation. Once you can allow all to be empowered you have stepped into your sovereignty ... There is only love...

A GIFT TO MYSELF

Forgiveness is a gift to yourself. It frees you from the past, the past experience, and past relationships. It allows you to live in present time. When you forgive yourself and forgive others, you are indeed free. There is a tremendous sense of freedom that comes with forgiveness. Often you need to forgive yourself for putting up with painful experiences and not loving yourself enough to move away from those experiences. So love yourself, forgive yourself, forgive others and be in the moment. See the old bitterness and the old pain just roll off your shoulders as you let go, and the doors of your heart open wide. When you come from a space of love you are always safe. Forgive everyone. Forgive yourself. Forgive all past experiences. You are free.

Remember, we do not have to know how to forgive. All we have to do is be willing to forgive. The Universe will take care of the how.

Here are some affirmations on forgiveness:

I move beyond forgiveness to understanding, and
I have compassion for all.
I know that old, negative patterns no longer limit me.
I let them go with ease.
As I forgive myself, it becomes easier to forgive others.

I forgive everyone in my past for all perceived wrongs.
I release them with love.
I am ready to be healed. I am willing to forgive. All is well. Love,
When the word forgiving is mentioned, who comes to your mind? Who is the person or what is the experience that you feel you will never forget, never forgive? What is it that holds you to the past?

When you refuse to forgive, you hold onto the past, and it is impossible for you to be in present time. It is only when you are in the present that you can create your future.
